Marc de Bruin
Marc is based in Eumundi on the beautiful Sunshine Coast, a little over an hour's drive north of Brisbane. He's a born and raised Dutchman, and immigrated into Australia in March 2003 with his partner and daughter.
Marc has a background in the field of law, having been a commercial barrister/solicitor for nearly six years in criminal law and real estate law. In 1999 he decided – after a lot of hard thought- that this profession wasn't honouring him enough and left his job, not knowing what to do at all. He describes this episode as “quite freaky”.
Life took Marc by the hand, and led him to South Africa for nearly six months, where he studied Body Stress Release, which he has been practising since October 2000. As Body Stress Release also encompasses a great deal of counselling and coaching, Marc realised the benefits of undergoing additional quality training in life coaching, and signed up with a coaching program. He now combines both his Body Stress Release practise and Life Coach practise under one roof, so that both the physical and mental aspects of clients' lives can be dealt with appropriately.
Being a European by birth, Marc has a refreshing way of looking at things, and his personal life experiences enable him to see the relative side of living -and life- easily, and with a lot of humour.
Marc's focus for the moment is with personal clients, but having been in the corporate environment for more than six years he is very much able and willing to coach on business level as well. His drive is the wish to propel people forward, so that they can and will live the life of their dreams.
around the globe is Marc's (and his family's) great passion, and with
their former home country and continent now having become a tourist destination,
the options have just grown larger and larger. His dream is to build up
an international coaching practice (face to face, and through telephone
coaching) while travelling, so that two passions can become one. His other
big dream is a 1990’s model Chevrolet Corvette Convertible (Chevy
blue, of course). He'll keep you posted on the progress of realisation
of this dream!
